6 Ways of Building a Character

Our integrity and response largely depend on our character and how it was developed for years. The decisions and choices we make are triggered by our background and our own created values and virtues. The way we were raised and our experiences will lead to how we relate with other people and the world as a whole.
1. Define Character
First of all, you have to understand the meaning of character. It is the total of traits and qualities that will define a certain individual or group of people. It describes the ethical and moral strength of the individual, as well as attributes and abilities that will ultimately correspond to their life choices. Character defines the person and his or her actions, with the possibility of these being positive on how to become a better you.
2. On Values
If you want to build good character, you have to select as set of principles and rules that you will abide by for the rest of your life. The actions you take to follow these guidelines will ultimately lead to a happy and contented life, which in turn, will reflect your positivity and support toward creating a better world and environment for everyone.
3. On Choices
You can determine whether a principle is effective for your personal growth and character if you find meaning or a certain level of success in your actions. You should be able to say that you are the person you are today, because of actions and choices you made in the past. Try to assess and list down turning points in your life wherein you had to make a major decision that led you to develop new abilities, morals and virtues on how to become a better you.
5. Find a Role Model
Some individuals aim to become truly credible and build character like other great successful people by trying to follow certain examples and lifestyles. You can rely on a mentor or role model whom you can effectively relate to. This figure may be a family member, an author or a leader in your neighborhood. Take note that every person has strengths and weaknesses.
6. It Takes Time
The process of building character will take several years. You should be patient when looking for personal changes, as some may also alter over time, depending on other circumstances that occur in your life. There are plenty of reasons why people will adjust their traits and personality, so you should just look back on your list and role models and keep aiming for the ultimate goal of becoming truly a person of integrity.

Follow Your Dreams

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined
  1. The only “yes” you need to follow your dreams is yours.
  2. You’ll regret it later in life, and if you’re delaying it, you’ll question yourself why didn’t you do it sooner.
  3. Not following your dreams makes you feel unaccomplished.  Eventually, this will stop you from dreaming altogether.
  4. It will attract some attention, even from the naysayers ad haters. You will feel strong as you prove the naysayers wrong.  As the saying said; “The great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.”
  5. People who follow their dreams are doers.   Doers have more power to create, influence, and change their environment… and eventually the world.
  6. Life feels more memorable, hence you feel/become more memorable.
  7. Following your dreams might take unexpected turns, but those are the interesting and memorable challenges of living the dream.
  8. Those challenges will help you grow as they make you step out of your comfort zone.
  9. Dreams make you take chances, but chances can bring more opportunities.
  10. Afraid about it? Good. Being afraid makes you feel more alive, so smash through that brick wall of fear.  Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.  Elbert Hubbard once said, “The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.”
  11. Your dreams and your actions define you.  Don’t let others define you with what they tell you to do and not to.
  12. You will inspire other to follow their own dreams, even if they know nothing about you.
  13. Following your dreams makes you interesting.
  14. Who doesn’t love to challenge the status quo?
  15. There are no rules in life so why limit yourself to what everybody else is doing?
  16. Accomplishing your dreams will spark even bigger dreams.
  17. You feel you have something more to live for.
  18. Even if your dreams fail, you’ll feel proud you gave it your all to accomplish them. Dreamers tend to fail, but they tend to learn more in life. You learn from failure.  So, dust yourself and try it again.
  19. It’s your life, live it under your terms!

Fear of Love. You can end it!

Love is a very complicated thing. It is one of the most common emotions in the world. One word cannot truly express the meaning of love, so it is only natural that a fear of love can develop in anybody, you, your sister, even the person next to you Maybe you're afraid of being loved, or you're afraid of falling in love. Whatever the case, and whatever your past experiences that may have caused this fear, you can turn your fear into love.
Steps
1.      Figure out what you're actually afraid of. There is a good chance that you are not afraid of love itself, rather, something more specific. For example, you may think you're afraid of being loved, when in reality, you fear getting to know a person who is interested in you. Or, you may think you are afraid of falling in love, when you are actually afraid of losing control in your life.
2.      Identify a cause for your fear. Once you know what you are afraid of, figure out if there is something that caused you to fear it. In most cases, a fear can be caused by past experience. Maybe you got to know someone a couple of years ago and you realized that they were not who you originally thought they were. Or, maybe you used to be madly in love with someone and all of your other interests and hobbies suffered because of it.
3.      Figure out what you learned from the experience, instead of blaming yourself over and over. If that person wasn't who you thought they were, then now you know that you shouldn't assume that you know someone, when you barely know them. Or, if the person you were madly in love with was detrimental to all of your other interests, then you now know you should find someone that supports your interests and hobbies and is a positive influence on your life.
4.      Work on conquering your fear, keeping what you've learned in mind. It won't happen overnight. In fact, you shouldn't try to make it disappear at once, or you will overwhelm yourself. Face your fear as much as possible over a long period of time until it no longer is a fear for you anymore.
5.      Realize that it's all right if you fail at love. Everyone fails at love at some point or another so you're not alone.
6.      Time heals all wounds. So just be able to give it time.

5 Importance of Time Management

Time management helps you make conscious choices so you can spend more of your time doing things that are important and valuable to you.

1. Time is limited. Time is a very special resource in that you cannot store it or save it for later. Everyone gets the exact same amount of time each and every day. If you don't use your time wisely, you can never get it back.
2. Time is scarce. Most people feel like they have too much to do and not enough time. Lack of time is blamed for everything from not getting enough exercise, poor finances, unachieved goals, too much stress, bad relationships, and even an unfulfilled life. Time management helps you use the time that you do have in better ways.
3. You need time to get what you want out of life. You need time to do almost anything worthwhile in life. Waiting for more free time is a loosing game that almost never results in getting time for what you want. You need to learn how to make time for the things that are important to you. Even if you can only afford to give a small amount of time each week to your goals, you'd be surprised at how much progress you can make.
4. You can accomplish more with less effort. When you become more productive using improved time management skills and tools, you can accomplish more with less effort. Reducing wasted time and effort gives you even more productive time throughout the day. Both of these allow you to make time for a wide range of activities that bring more balance and fulfillment to your life.
5. Too many choices. In this day and age, there are so many ways you can spend your time, that you need some sort of plan to make intelligent choices.

The Mystery of Time

We cannot see time; we cannot hear it, or smell it, or taste it; we cannot touch it! And yet no one doubts that time is and that it dominates our lives. Our every move is dictated by this most elusive and illusive factor—the time element. Its mystery has haunted human minds down the ages, and yet even today our modern scientist must accept the fact that he has not yet penetrated it. Time changes man; yet man cannot change time.
We speak of saving time and also of wasting it. We say time flies or time drags. And yet we cannot say what time itself is! Our age is one of speed. We are constantly inventing mechanical devices to hasten all tasks and to traverse distances in space with ever-increasing speed. We want to go faster and faster because we want to "save" time. The story is told of an old man who failed to respond enthusiastically to the glowing accounts of the speed of air travelling. He listened unmoved, and then asked: "But what will you do with the time so 'saved'?" It is not merely saving time that makes for progress, but how we utilize it.
However, while time is imperceptible to our sensorium, we can measure it. From the remotest antiquity men have sought ways and means of measuring time and found in Nature the basis for such measurements. Because astronomical events ever recur cyclically they were chosen to measure that unknown factor, time. We really measure the interval betweeen the occurrence of an event and its recurrence. And so we have come to regard time as the interval between events.
For us mortals time is measured by the journey of our earth through space. Our planet's trip around the Sun, the monthly orbit of the moon, and the daily rotation of the earth on its axis have given us our year, our month, our day. But while we measure the passage of time, time itself remains unknown.
What lies behind the passing flow of time? When we say this day has passed away, what do we really mean? Where has it gone to? We speak of the past, the present, and the future, but these exist only in reference to the consciousness of the one who experiences them on this plane. Madame Blavatsky offers this definition in the form of a question: "What is Time, but the panoramic succession of our states of consciousness?" The above gives us the metaphysical key to solve our problem: Behind time, lies Eternity. Time belongs to the world of conditioned existence, the world of constant change. It begins at any given moment in reference to a particular event or a particular phenomenon. But behind that beginning, Time which is infinite and measureless already was because it ever is. Thus, conditioned time, which can be measured, which begins and ends, arises out of Timelessness or Eternal Duration. And that is why the present, the past, and the future have validity only in this world of relativity. They cease to be valid when we transcend that which pertains to the world of changing phenomena. The cry of the world is for Light, more Light. As we approach the Summer Solstice, let us determine to draw nearer to the Light within our own hearts that we may reflect its golden radiance in our daily lives, and thus help brighten the lives of our fellow men.

How to become a Respected Person?

If anyone wants to be respected by others, wealth, clothing or physical attractiveness are not requirements. The way others perceive us isn't necessarily based on our level of education, what schools we may have attended or with whom we are acquainted. Respect is accorded to those who live respectable lives--that is, people that conduct themselves with integrity and treat others, in turn, with high regard. If we set the example by respecting ourselves - appreciating our own good qualities and using them to highlight the positive in other people's lives, then our example will be followed and that same regard will likely be shown to us in return. The most important thing to remember is that respect is earned; we must act respectably in order to receive the benefits.

1. Present yourself well.

2. Keep your language clean and respectable.

3. Have confidence.

4. Try to be positive.

5. Greet people in a proper and friendly manner.

6. Don’t act like a know it all.

7. Be a good role model.

8. Give everyone a chance.

9. Don't be overly materialistic.

10. Respect yourself and others around you.

11. Live up to your promises.

10 Ways to become Optimistic Thinker

1. Define your values & principles. What do you really want out of life? What's important? What gives  you pleasure? Pain?

2. Be willing to change. Have an open and curious mind.

3. Love yourself, respect yourself.

4. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Your manners will define you wherever you go. Never forget it.
5.Understand that the past does not equal the future. Just because you've experienced pain or disappointment in the past does not guarantee that what starts badly will end badly. Do not make a bad start turn into a self fulfilling prophecy for a bad ending.
6.Use positive affirmations. Write down short statements that remind you of what you're trying to change about the way you see the world. Put them in places where you'll see them every day, such as on your bathroom mirror, the inside of your locker, on your computer monitor, and even taped to your shower wall.

Some affirmations to start with are:
  • "Anything is possible."
  • "My circumstances do not create me, I create my circumstances."
  • "The only thing I can control is my attitude towards life."
  • "I always have a choice."
  • "I choose to live my positive side of life."
7. While it is true that you create your own circumstances, accept that the past is the past. Don’t let negative circumstances trigger irrational guilt.
The past is the past. It’s over. It’s done. Let it go.
8. Don’t let your negative feelings control you.
9. Avoid negative people. If you can’t avoid them, learn how to not let them get you down.
10. Have faith: If you believe in God then strengthen your faith in him.  If you believe in yourself then learn how to increase this faith.  Whatever the kind of faith you have learn how to increase it and you will become more optimistic. Nothing can make you more optimistic than faith.

ü  Being optimistic can take practice, so get going and practice these 10 tips to make you the optimistic person you deserve to be.  You don’t have to hurry that much, you can take time to leave a comment.  Thank you!

Truth about Eternal Life

If you believe that there is more to life than just birth, death and what happens inbetween - and if you believe in the Elohim or God of the Bible, Yahweh-Elohim, then there is no more important question to ask than how do I get eternal life?
The scriptures that follow tell us precisely how to get eternal life - to secure life after death and into the eternities. In this ministry, we believe in the whole counsel of Scripture, in other words, we take all the scriptures on a particular subject and take them at face value.

The wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
Jesus is life itself, He told us so! "I am the way, the truth and the life!" Whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life (John 3:15). So Jesus by definition of  I John 1:2 is "the eternal life", and in our verse is further titled "The true God and Eternal Life".
Believers will dwell with God forever.
Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (NIV)
Jesus prepares a special place for believers in heaven.
John 14:1-3
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (NIV)

The only true God - The way to attain this eternal life is to acknowledge, worship, and obey, the one only true God, and to accept as teacher, sacrifice, and Savior, the Lord Jesus, the one and only true Messiah.

The Most Influential Book

Simply put, the BIBLE is the most influential book ever written. Not only is the Bible the best-selling book of all time, it is the best-selling book of the year every year
I was asked what book is the most influential to me. Of course the Bible itself is the most influential book.
The Bible was the first book that Johannes Gutenberg printed in 1454. It is thought that he printed about 180 copies, known as the 42-line Bible, of which significant parts of 48 copies still survive. Gutenberg did not make any printing errors. Before Johannes Gutenberg invented his printing press in 1438, there were only about 30,000 books throughout the whole of Europe, nearly all Bibles or biblical commentary. By 1500, there were more than 9 million books. Today there are more than a trillion books. The world’s libraries store more than a 100 million original volumes, 24 million of those in the US Library of Congress. Amazon.com is the world’s biggest book store, holding some 3 million book titles (print and electronic, the latter which outsells the first mentioned). Sadly, almost a billion people around the world still cannot read.
